The End of Summer Propane Guide

Now that the kiddies are back in school and football season has officially begun, it can only mean one thing - summer is coming to a close. The good news is there is still plenty of warm weather to enjoy the outdoors and get the most of the season before the days begin to shorten and we have to leap into fall.

If you’re like us, you probably spent the summer grilling up a storm, which means your propane tanks might need a refill. Now is a good time to refill and stock up on a spare propane tank or two. You can never be too prepared, and besides there’s still plenty of fun ways to celebrate the summer and give it one last hurrah, before we have to bid it farewell.

Here are just a few of our favorite tips on how to spend the last days of summer.

Have A Bonfire With Friends

Who doesn’t enjoy sitting around a campfire with friends and roasting marshmallows? Building a bonfire is fun and relaxing for the whole family. Luckily, there’s a much safer and convenient alternative to stacking up firewood.

Gas firepits run with just a push of a button. No safety issues and no need to waste time trying to keep firewood going. They run continuously and since propane is a clean burning fuel, you don’t have to worry about smelling like smoke or increasing your carbon footprint.

Throw a Back To School Pool Party

If you have a pool, you can start the school year right by throwing an epic back-to-school party for friends and family. While the kids may be bummed to say say goodbye to summer, it’s a great way for them to make new friends or reconnect with old ones.

Also remember, propane pool heaters not only help you maintain the perfect pool temperature during the summer, but it can extend the swimming season well into the cooler months.

Al Fresco Dinner With The Family

Whether you’re looking to bring the family together, or simply want to enjoy the warm summer evenings just a little while longer, having an outdoor dinner with loved ones is a good way to spend some quality time. Fire up the gas grill and make steak, chicken, or fish. Take dinner up a notch and grill veggies and fruit. There isn’t much you can’t grill, really.
